  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup salted sweet cream butter
  • 4 ounces chopped bittersweet baking chocolate
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chip chunks (divided)
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chopped bittersweet chocolate together until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in the sugar, followed by the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gradually fold into the wet mixture.
  5. Gently mix in half of the chocolate chip chunks and all of the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into a greased baking dish and spread evenly; bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Allow cooling before cutting into squares.
