  • 2 slices sourdough bread (thick)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 medium Granny Smith apple (thinly sliced)

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  2. Spread unsalted butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Layer half of the shredded sharp cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice. Add apple slices and dried cranberries, then top with the remaining cheese. Place the second slice on top, buttered side up.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip carefully and grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until crispy.
